Beginner courses are always Entry-On-Day - there is no pre-booking.
You only need to come prepared for a walk or run in the park/woods.

Mass start 11:00 for the 90 min and 180 min score courses. Orienteering activities suitable for people not doing the Mini Marathon courses 11:00 to 12:15

This is not a mapped area as such, but gives the location of parking etc for the Mini-Marathon

Notes:
Mini Marathon courses: 90 mins and 180 mins score courses using the paths and trails surrounding Brierley Forest Park - NB competitors choose their own routes and how long they stay out but there will be penalties for late returns over the time limits. The map is scale 1: 25,000. Under 16s must be accompanied at all times by an adult. Orienteering activities for those not wanting to take part in the longer courses will be suitable for families. There will be a small charge to cover map costs.

Safety:
Competitors take part at their own risk.
It is recommended that whistles are carried.
Once you have started a course it is a rule that you don't leave the event without reporting to a download official even if you retire.

The Competitor Safety Slip can be downloaded and brought to registration if you wish to leave medical or emergency contact details. You may place in a sealed envelope. The slip will be only accessible to the organiser or first aiders and will be destroyed after the event.
