Blidworth

Location Map

Area Map NOC Home

Mixed coniferous and deciduous woodland.

Typical Forestry Commission area with blocks in varying stages of maturity, split by many paths and tracks. Thining, felling and replanting continues. Many blocks include stumpbanks. Includes a nature reserve pond. Some parts are being invaded by brambles. Blidworth is extensively used for walking by dog owners and by mountain bikers, but vandalism hasn't been a problem. It is also used for motor sport. Sansom is much quieter.
