Organiser's Comments I hope that all who came enjoyed the day - I hope that some of you who tried orienteering for the first time today will come again to future events. Thanks to all the helpers.

Planner's Comments This event was my first time at planning, and I really enjoyed the challenge - even putting out controls at 7.30 in the morning! I was relieved that none of the controls were vandalised, and luckily it was a sunny day so hopefully everyone enjoyed the courses. Thanks to Mick for his advice and encouragement.

Controller's Comments Sarah is to be congratulated for providing some excellent courses. Based on the comments I heard at the finish you, the competitors share this view.

Green courses should be as technically difficult as possible while being fair. With the new map we were able to take advantage of some of the more complex parts of the area making the green course harder than some others in Nottinghamshire. I hope the less experienced competitors were not discouraged by this course and will all want to return to future NOC events.

The event at Byron's Walk on 26th October is in a mature coniferous forest with a good path network and the event at Bestwood on 21st December is more like the wooded parts of Bramcote. I hope you can come.
